Strengthening the Enterprise: IDO Welcomes New Deputy Director
Col. Charles “Leans” McNiel assumed leadership as the deputy director for the Integrated Development Office (IDO) during a ceremony on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Sept. 15, 2025. The IDO’s director, Amanda Gentry, presided over the ceremony. The IDO is an Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) level organization which collaborates with stakeholders across the defense enterprise to develop war fighting capabilities faster and more more effectively. It is responsible for developing and fielding new, integrated and interoperable war fighting capabilities to meet force design needs and to counter emerging threats. HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass., — Chief Master Sgt. Timothy J. Wieser, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s senior enlisted leader, spoke to enlisted Airmen from the Department of the Air Force Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management and AFLCMC’s Detachment 7, on Sept. 11, as part of a visit to Hanscom Air Force Base, here. During the visit Wieser recognized Staff Sgt. Ivan Martinovich from Kessel Run, and Senior Airmen Alen Long from Detachment 7, for their outstanding performance by presenting them with coins.
