Col Michael Jungquist

Headshot of Col Michael JungquistColonel Michael Jungquist serves as Inspector General for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Jungquist received his commission in 2001 through Purdue University Reserve Officer Training Corps, with a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He is a Master Combat Systems Officer with over 2300 hours in 29 different aircraft, mostly in the B-1 where he accrued 680 combat hours on 49 sorties supporting Operation: Enduring Freedom.

Col Jungquist earned a Master’s Degree in Flight Test Engineering upon graduating the USAF Test Pilot School, after which he served multiple tours in operational and developmental test in the B-1, staff, and program management. His assignments culminated as Commander of the 419th Flight Test Squadron where he led a 46 member squadron and directed the 550+ member Global Power Bomber Combined Test Force which conducted America’s first flight of an air-launched hypersonic weapon under his command.

Col Jungquist's decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and various expeditionary medals.
