Lieutenant Colonel Roberson O. Hill serves as Inspector General for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Hill received his commission in 2003 as an Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) graduate from East Carolina University. He is a career program manager having worked on C-5, C-130, Business Systems (IT), KC-46 Tanker and C-17. He career broadened as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Duke University for Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). During his tenure at Wright-Patterson AFB, he served as the Executive Officer and Deputy Production Management Lead for the Air Force’s number one priority, KC‑46 program.
Lt Col Hill also served as the 63A Officer Assignment Team Chief culminating as the Deputy Branch Chief for Acquisition Assignments executing Air Force and joint worldwide assignments and total force development for more than 2,070 acquisition officers. He served on the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition staff as Program Element Monitor for C-5, C-17, and Defensive Systems culminating as the Deputy Division Chief responsible for Mobility Airlift, KC-46, Legacy Tanker, Presidential Aircraft, and Executive Airlift Programs. Before taking over as acting Deputy C-17 System Program Manager, Lt Col Hill served as Material Leader where he supervised an 18-member team in planning, developing, executing production, avionics, and communication modernization programs that deliver next-generation combat capability to 222 aircraft. Lastly, Lt Col Hill served as the 88th Mission Support Group Deputy leading over 1,800 personnel and an annual budget of $62 million in support of the base’s 30,000 person population. Lt Col Hill holds Department of Defense Acquisition Corps Level III certification in Program Management.
