BRIG. GEN. RYAN L. BRITTON – PEO OF PRESIDENTIAL AND EXECUTIVE AIRLIFT DIRECTORATE

Brig. Gen. Ryan L. Britton is the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Presidential & Executive Airlift, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He is responsible for the planning and execution of all lifecycle activities related to recapitalization of Air Force One and E-4B aircraft and sustainment of the current Air Force One, E-4B, C-12, C-32, C-37 and C-40 aircraft.

Brig. Gen. Britton entered the Air Force in 1991 through the University of Memphis ROTC program. Early in his career, he held various engineering, program management and staff positions at the Electronic Systems Center and the Munitions Directorate at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Brig. Gen. Britton has operational experience as a Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile launch officer and later served as the Chief of the Emergency War Order section at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. He holds two graduate degrees from the Air Force Institute of Technology and is a RAND Fellow.

Brig. Gen. Britton was the Deputy Director for Acquisition for the Missile Defense Agency. Additionally, he served as the Director of the ICBM Systems Directorate located at Hill AFB, Utah, and commanded the 730th Aircraft Sustainment Support Squadron at Robins AFB, Georgia. General Britton has also held numerous staff positions to include the Senior Military Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics at the Pentagon, at U.S. Strategic Command, the Air Staff, Air Force Materiel Command and Warner Robins Air Logistics Center. He deployed as the Liaison Officer to the Iraqi Minister of Defense in Baghdad. Brig. Gen. Britton holds the Department of Defense Acquisition Corps Level III certification in Acquisition Program Management and Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering-Systems Engineering.
