AFLCMC “State of the Center” slated for Feb. 5

HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Lt. Gen. Donna D. Shipton, commander, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, will present a “State of the Center” address, Feb. 5, in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Hosted by the Lexington-Concord Chapter of AFCEA, the event will be at the Boston Marriott Burlington hotel and begin at 11:30 a.m. Attendance is open to all. For government attendees, the cost is $25 for military at the grades of 03 and above and civilians at the grades of GS-12 and above. For those in the grades of 02 or GS-11 and below, the cost is $20.

Personnel must register for the event at afcealexcon.org. Registration should made no later than Friday, Feb. 2 at noon.

AFLCMC is composed of fourteen execution directorates, two of which – the Digital Directorate and the Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Networks Directorate – are headquartered here. The 66th Air Base Group at Hanscom AFB, which operates the installation, is also part of AFLCMC, as is the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Shipton took command of AFLCMC in December 2023.

AFLCMC is responsible for total life cycle management for aircraft, engines, munitions, electronic, computer, network, cyber and agile combat support systems. The center employs almost 30,000 people and has a budget of approximately $310 billion.
