    The Air Force is hosting a conference at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, designed to integrate navigation and air traffic control systems into military aircraft in order to stay current with Federal Aviation Administration and international air traffic regulations.

Fuel onload fatigue tests will gather data to characterize the aircraft interaction typically experienced when the KC-46A is flying in receiver formation behind a current KC-135 Stratotanker or KC-10 Extender. While the KC-46's role is to refuel other aircraft, it too may need to be refueled from other KC-10s or KC-135s to extend its range.     KC-135 MOD program closes out year with magic number: Block 45

    The KC-135 Block 45 upgrade program reached a milestone by closing out 2016 with the 45th aircraft in the modification line here. Block 45 completely remodels the inside of the flight deck with new liquid crystal displays, radio altimeter, auto-pilot, digital flight director and other computer module updates, according to information provided by the Legacy Tanker Division located here at Tinker.

    General Richardson gives KC-46A progress report at symposium

    The first active-duty KC-46A Pegasus is slated to arrive at Tinker Air Force Base for routine maintenance three years from now, but preparations for the new aerial refueling tanker are in full swing across the Air Force, the program’s executive officer said. Brig. Gen. Duke Richardson, the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Tankers, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, delivered a comprehensive progress report 23 Aug at the 11th annual Tinker and the Primes Requirements Symposium in Midwest City.
