MISSION: Deliver war-winning fighter and advanced aircraft capabilities to U.S. and International Partners. 

The Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate reports to both the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Washington D.C., and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The directorate executes the development, production, fielding, sustainment, and modernization of the United States Air Force and foreign military sales fighter portfolio, which includes the A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, and special programs; as well as the development of the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) Family of Systems (FoS). Primary operations locations:

PAE - COLONEL TIMOTHY M. HELFRICH

Col Helfrich headshotColonel Timothy M. Helfrich is the Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Fighters and Advanced Aircraft, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He is responsible for the development, production, fielding, sustainment, and modernization of the Air Force fighter portfolio, which includes the A-10, F- 15, F-16, F-22, and special programs; as well as the development of the F-47 program, Collaborative Combat Aircraft and other advanced aircraft capability development activities. 

 





 

A-10 DIVISION (AFLCMC/WAA)

MISSION: Provide a combat-ready and sustainable A-10, while recognizing our people's contributions today and potential tomorrow.

F-22 DIVISION (AFLCMC/WAU)

MISSION: Delivering dominant and ready Raptors.
 

ADVANCED AIRCRAFT DIVISION (AFLCMC/WAC)

MISSION: Continuously delivering advanced and innovative capabilities through parallel development, optionality and competition to deter and defeat threats.

F-15 DIVISION (AFLCMC/WAQ)

MISSION: F-15 Division: Sustains and enhances F-15 Counter-air and Counter-land capabilities. Provides integrated weapon system management, and leads modernization and sustainment activities to ensure F-15 aircraft availability is adequate to fulfill weapon system assigned missions.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS DIVISION (AFLCMC/WAG)

MISSION:  Rapidly execute streamlined demonstrations, development, test, production, fielding, and sustainment of classified weapon systems to maintain the Nation’s lethal strike capability in contested environments.

F-16 DIVISION (AFLCMC/WAM)

MISSION: Providing warfighters mission-ready F-16s.
