There are a few important buildings to check while In-processing. Please talk with your Sponsor for more information regarding:

• The Brown Building
• Taking the Oath of Office
• Newcomers’ Orientation
• Your Office Building

As you might have already noticed by now, you have gained multiple In-processing e-mails from several organizations. 

Be aware that much of the In-processing information aligns with one another, yet differences can still occur as procedures change. Should this occur, please reach out to your Sponsor with additional questions.

Above all, please remember this going forward: the In-processing procedure can be a lot, but you are on your way to joining the Government! Our guiding word going forward from now (and as you In-process) is... patience.

• After gaining your Common Access Card (CAC) and taking your Oath of Office, you should receive your electronic equipment (e.g. Government Laptop) during the first two weeks.
   
• Once you have received your Laptop, equipment, and general office supplies from your Division, talk with your Sponsor to gain the contact information of your Supervisor and schedule an in-person / virtual meeting to introduce yourself. This should occur on or after your first official day, but preferably within the first pay period (the first two weeks on duty).
   
• Remember: Patience is key and schedules with many different individuals can take time to arrange. There may be times you are waiting for things to occur and a new task to come your way, but this is normal at first. We recommend actively engage in tasks assigned to you until you are able to reach your Supervisor to gain further instructions. Give e-mails a 24 hour period to be answered and follow up should they go unanswered for more than 48 hours. Your Sponsor will remain available during this time. So should you require any support, please feel free to continue asking your Sponsor.
   
• We recommend asking your Supervisor and/or Sponsor about required courses for Newcomers as well as which Training sites and Universities are available to you to begin your formal training
