Mr. Scott Boyd is the Deputy Program Executive Officer (DPEO) for Combat Readiness, Combat Readiness Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. He is responsible for identifying cross-cutting enterprise solutions for the USAF’s toughest combat readiness/sustainment challenges. He also leads the acquisition, modernization and sustainment of the USAF’s Combat Readiness portfolio, including Support Equipment & Vehicles, Human Systems, Automatic Test Systems, and the AF Metrology and Calibration Office. His portfolio also includes the Rapid Sustainment Office, charged with accelerating game-changing capabilities that sustain a modern Air Force.
Mr. Boyd’s career has included dynamic broadening experiences as an aircraft and munitions maintenance officer at one of the most active flying units in the Air Force, as well as time instructing the next generation of Air Force leaders in the Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He has Advanced certification as a Program Manager in the Acquisition Professional Development Program, and has managed multiple ACAT I programs into sustainment. He was hand-selected as the executive officer for the 3-star Electronic Systems Center Commander and Program Executive Officer for Command and Control and Combat Support systems. Mr. Boyd was deployed in 2010 as the Deputy J7 on the US Forces – Afghanistan staff in Kabul, Afghanistan. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel effective 31 January 2012 after almost 22 years of active commissioned service in the United States Air Force.
