CMSgt Robert B. Jones is the Senior Enlisted Leader, Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, which falls under the Program Executive Officer (PEO), Command, Control, Communications, Information and Networks, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, with operations located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
He is the senior enlisted advisor to the commander on enlisted health, welfare, and morale issues affecting cryptologic and information assurance product lifecycle management support for national and international communications security and signal intelligence systems. The Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division leads a team of 1,500 military, civil service, and contract support personnel, acquiring and providing depot support for $3 billion in worldwide assets, with an acquisition and sustainment budget of $4.5 billion (FYDP) for the Department of Defense and national space systems. Additionally, the Division also shares a mission for Cyberspace support to Air Force Space Command and 24th Air Force to provide technology development, acquisition, sustainment and demilitarization of cyber systems and products that provide mission assurance.
Chief Jones entered the Air Force in September 1998 and graduated technical training as a Telephone Maintenance Apprentice in May 1999. His assignments include bases within the National Capital Region, South Korea, Germany and Italy. He also deployed in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH. Lastly, he served two Developmental Special Duty tours as the Operations Superintendent and as a Ceremonial Guardsman within The United States Air Force Honor Guard.
