COLONEL LANCE E. FREEMAN

Colonel Lance E. Freeman is the Staff Judge Advocate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.  He is responsible for providing legal advice to the AFLCMC Commander, AFLCMC staff, and subordinate legal offices, to include supporting the Commander’s role as the general court-martial convening authority over two installations and subordinate organizations located in a nine-state region.  AFLCMC employs more than 28,000 people and has a budget of over $300 billion.

Colonel Freeman received a direct commission as an Air Force judge advocate in December 2002 and entered active duty in January 2003. He has served as a division chief, combined air operations center legal advisor, wing staff judge advocate, group staff judge advocate, deputy staff judge advocate, regional office chief, litigation attorney, and an area defense counsel. He is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
