OLIVIA S. ELLIOTT

Colonel Olivia S. Elliott is the Chief of Safety at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. She develops, executes and evaluates AFLCMC flight, occupational, weapons, test and system safety programs and readiness for more than 26,000 personnel at more than 60 operating locations.

Col Elliott graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Astronautical Engineering.  She completed undergraduate pilot training at Sheppard AFB, TX.  Col Elliott served as an A-10 combat and test pilot, a T-38 instructor pilot, and an instructor at the USAF Test Pilot School and has over 2000 hours in the T-38 and A-10.  She has also worked as the test instrumentation division chief at the USAF Test Pilot School and the Senior Student at the Air Force Institute of Technology, where she received her Doctorate in Hypersonic Aerodynamics in 2019. 

Following the completion of her Doctorate, she worked at AFRL Munitions Directorate as the government lead for ground and flight testing and the contracting officer’s representative for the Tactical Boost Glide (TGB) Hypersonic Missile prime and sub contracts as well as the government test lead for the first flight of the TBG missile.  Prior to her current assignment, Col Elliott worked as the Director of Test and Evaluation for the F-35 Lightning II, responsible for developmental, operational and live fire testing for all models of the F-35 and the maintenance and improvement of the F-35 test infrastructure.
