MASTER SERGEANT JAN M. RIEMENSCHNEIDER

MSgt Jan M. Riemenschneider currently serves as Senior Enlisted Leader, Installation Contracting Division, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. He leads, plans, organizes, and directs acquisition activities for the 160+ member strong Installation Contracting Division that processes an average of 3,500 contracting actions per year with an annual obligation value of over $550M. MSgt Riemenschneider provides enlisted guidance to Senior Management in support of all WPAFB Non-Program Executive Officer organizations (DoD, SAF, AFMC, AFIT, Reserve and Guard); both local and geographically separated units. His division manages over 800 contracts with a face value in excess of $4B. It also has overall responsibility for providing contracting support to programs focused on Specialized and Operational contracting. Efforts include IT supplies & services, intelligence support, Contractor Engineering Technical Services, Mechanized Material Handling Systems, AF library, specialized technology services contracts, construction, services and supplies. Finally, he is the first enlisted member in the Contracting career field to be accepted into the Air Force Institute of Technology Education With Industry Program, where he served as a fellow at the University of Dayton Research Institute.

MSgt Riemenschneider is a 2012 graduate of Wayland Baptist University. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 2004. After completion of the Contracting Apprentice Technical School, he was assigned to the 700th Contracting Squadron, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Kaiserslautern, Germany. Additionally, he was stationed in Arizona, Alaska, and currently serves at Wright Patterson AFB. He has held numerous duty titles, including Contacting Specialist, Team Lead, NCOIC of Commodities and Medical Support, Team Lead, Flight Chief of Contract Administration Flight, Contingency Contracting Officer (CCO), Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO), Additional Duty First Sergeant, SOCCENT Fwd J4 Directorate SEL, and has served as a warranted Contracting Officer, both at home and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation New Dawn, and Operation Pacific Angel, and most recently Operations Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve while deployed with SOCOM.
Furthermore, as an active participant in the USAF Language Enabled Airman Program, he has provided oral and written translation services in the investigation of 4 WW2 crash locations on-site in Austria in support of the Defense POW/MIA Agency’s missing Airman recovery mission.
