JAMES E. LAWRENCE

Mr. James E. Lawrence is the Deputy Program Executive Officer and Deputy Director for the Rapid Sustainment Office, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He is responsible for leading a lean organization to rapidly field sustainment capabilities by leveraging mature, new, and emerging technologies at the speed of relevance to improve mission readiness and reduce sustainment costs within the Air Force.

In his previous assignment, Mr. Lawrence was the Center Senior Functional for Program Management, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center, where he was responsible for overseeing and standardizing Center functional policy and processes, as well as managing the functional workforce. He also assisted the commander as the Lead Acquisition Program Manager for the Air Force Installation Contracting Center where he provided strategic-level programmatic counsel and was responsible for the oversight and execution of enterprise-wide solutions for the $55 billion contract portfolio, supporting eight Major Commands.

During his career, Mr. Lawrence has served in a variety of acquisition program management and leadership assignments at Wright-Patterson AFB in the MQ-9 and KC-46 System Program Offices, Hanscom AFB in the E-3 and Ground-Based Infrastructure System Program Offices, and most recently as the Director of Staff for the Department of the Air Force Acquisition COVID-19 Task Force.

Mr. Lawrence entered federal civil service in July 2006 as a PALACE Acquire Program Management trainee.
