Description:
You have likely heard of the Department of the Air Force’s (DAF’s) intent to address 7 key operational imperatives, or OIs, and reoptimize to meet current and emerging threats. The OIs date back to March 2022 when The Secretary of the Air Force released an urgent roadmap for bringing about new technologies, thinking and cultures the Air and Space Forces must have to deter, and if necessary, defeat a modern-day adversary. Then in February of this year, the Secretary announced 24 key decisions the DAF is going to implement to be more competitive in an era of Great Power competition (GPC). Again, with a sense of urgency to ensure the DAF is ready to deter, and if necessary, win.

Although the concepts make sense, how will they be implemented? In this collider, we are pleased to have Mr. Harry Conley, Headquarters Air Force (HAF) OI expert, and an additional AFMC Speaker (TBD), to present an overview of both the OIs and GPC for small business. This is an exceptional opportunity to hear from the experts and ask questions.
