The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Small Business Director Luke Schultz provided an overview of doing business with the Air Force Consul General of Japan in Detroit Hajime “Jimmy” Kishimori during the consul general’s visit to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, March 5, 2026. Kishimori had earlier met with Lt. Gen. Donna Shipton, AFLCMC’s Commander. The consul general also met with Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Geraghty Director of the Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate (AFSAC) and his team to get a better understanding of the mission at Wright-Patt. Kishimori’s visit centered on exploring the role that the US - Japanese alliance plays in the political and economic impact around the Dayton area. During his visit Kishimori had the opportunity to meet with three Japanese nationals currently working at Wright-Patt. Two, one civilian Miki Matsuo, and one military member Lt. Col. Takuya Kamigataguchi work at AFSAC. The thirds Japanese national, another military member, Maj. Yoshie Suganuma works in the C-130 program office, which is in AFLCMC’s Mobility Directorate.
