Deck the Paws: Volunteers wanted to bring tail-wagging cheers
Bobby, a cat available for adoption chills on a blanket inside the Pet Welfare adoption center at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., Dec. 6, 2023. The adoption center helps rehome cats and dogs for military members in the local area when it is unfeasible for them to continue ownership of their family pet, due to permanent change of station or other circumstances. Pet Welfare is non-profit, no-kill shelter that places anywhere from 100 to 300 surrendered and homeless cats and dogs very year since 1982. Those interested to adopt or volunteer may fill out an application from their website at petwelfare.net or visit the shelter to meet the adoptable cats and/or dogs.
