On April 6, 2026, the Automated Readiness Information System (ARIS) program released the Equipment Module (EM) and a Global Training Calendar (GTC).

The EM release updates ARIS’ equipment management capabilities by migrating the entire equipment module to a modern Angular framework, providing a faster and more integrated user experience. The update streamlines processes without removing any existing capabilities.

The deployment of the GTC enables ARIS users to track and schedule training events to meet deployment requirements. It supports the Air Force Civil Engineering Center, by ensuring warfighters are in mission-ready Airmen status. Future releases will enhance and broaden this capability.

"With the release of the updated EM and the new GTC, we are directly enhancing the operational effectiveness of our units,” said Lt. Col. Tyler Hough, Materiel Leader, Civil Engineering Information Technology. “This provides critical resource and scheduling capabilities that are essential for maintaining operational effectiveness across the Total Force. Enhancing these capabilities ensures the ability to operate effectively, integrate seamlessly, and innovate in support of the warfighter."

ARIS is a critical component of Air Force readiness, providing comprehensive resource management and reporting capabilities across active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve components. ARIS supports base-level and higher headquarters functions within Civil Engineering, Security Forces, and services enabling data-driven decision-making for optimal resource allocation and unit type code management.

Additionally, ARIS manages equipment and training scheduling, as well as Security Forces Combat Ranges. It is used across the Air Force to schedule and document small arms and light weapons, qualification training, along with chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear training. This interoperable, user-friendly system streamlines readiness reporting and enhances situational awareness in both routine operations and contingency environments.

ARIS remains essential for maintaining peak operational effectiveness and ensuring mission success. Total Force readiness relies on modernizing and sustaining robust resource management and reporting capabilities across the Air Force.
