The U.S. Air Force has unveiled the Account Request Management System (ARMS) as part of the latest release of the Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS), its central hub for managing Technical Orders (TOs) and related technical data.

ETIMS provides a single point of access for electronic TOs, Computer Program Identification Numbers (CPINs), and other technical documentation, ensuring Airmen have accurate, up-to-date information at the point of use. Because TOs are accessed through accounts managed at each location, and personnel turnover is constant, accurate account management is critical to mission success.

The new ARMS capability introduces several key improvements. Its automated workflows streamline account requests, which reduces delays in granting ETIMS access and contributes to faster onboarding for new maintainers, engineers, and support staff. Security is also improved through integration with Common Access Card (CAC) and External Certificate Authority (ECA) credentials to ensure only authorized users gain entry.

Additionally, ARMS provides transparent records for audit and compliance purposes, strengthening adherence to Department of Defense cybersecurity and records management standards, and enhancing the annual account review process.

From a user standpoint, the improvements focus on accessibility, efficiency, and mission readiness. Personnel across the Air Force enterprise gain quicker and more reliable access to electronic TOs and CPINs. This automated account management also reduces administrative overhead, allowing administrators to focus on sustaining and improving technical data delivery. Ultimately, faster access to accurate technical information supports maintenance crews and operators, which improves sortie generation and operational effectiveness.

The improved capabilities ARMS brings to ETIMS include streamlining, standardization of workflow processing, and enhanced reporting. These advancements elevate customer experience and better meet operational expectations when using ETIMS.

By eliminating gaps identified in the AFMC Digital Transformation Campaign, ARMS supports the TO roadmap and integrates seamlessly with the broader digital transformation effort. Standardized structures that promote centralized data will revolutionize processes, enabling a seamless integration between distributable TOs and the TO authoring system.

The integration of ARMS into ETIMS aligns with the Enterprise Air Force TO vision, which emphasizes delivering user-friendly, technically accurate, and up-to-date digital technical data from a single point of access. By modernizing account management, the Air Force is ensuring its technical information systems remain secure, efficient, and mission focused.

ARMS makes ETIMS more accessible, secure, compliant, and strategically aligned, directly supporting Air Force readiness, modernization, and digital transformation goals.
