HANSCOM AIR FORCE BASE, Mass. – Five Airmen here were recognized during the 2024 Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Acquisition Management awards ceremony Jan. 29.
The ceremony, hosted at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and viewed virtually at Hanscom AFB, highlighted excellence in military acquisitions and program management.
This year 187 nominations were submitted, including 35 from Hanscom AFB, competing in 34 different categories.
Donald Thompson, director of the acquisition excellence and program execution directorate, highlighted contributions made by the nominees.
“They made significant contributions in various mission areas across the enterprise, producing exceptional outcomes and delivering war-winning capabilities,” he said. “The nominees developed innovative strategies, aligned stakeholders, and responded to conflicts worldwide, placing lethal capability in the hands of the operator downrange.”
Brittany Poore, E-3 Modernization branch chief in the Airborne Warning and Control System and Wedgetail Division, Electronic Systems Directorate, was awarded the Outstanding Systems Program Manager award.
Poore executed more than $331 million to maximize combat power for airborne command and control operations, ultimately reducing timelines for 16 airborne warning and control systems to be in a single fleet configuration ahead of E-7 Wedgetail deliveries.
Capt. Robert Gray, Acquisition Excellence and Program Execution Directorate, won the Outstanding Services Acquisition Manager award in his role as advisory and assistance services branch chief.
Gray secured a $99 million engineering professional and administrative support services task order, delivering 12,000 contractor personnel focused on program executive officer, command, control, communication, intelligence, and networks critical priorities.
Michelle Graham, program manager for Global Network Systems, Electronic Systems Directorate, was recognized with the Outstanding Services Acquisition Manager award.
Graham led a team of 10 to develop a technical solution for the $32 million high-priority project sponsored by the commander of Air Combat Command. The effort integrated global air and space operations centers and joint targeting sites with distributed ground systems intelligence capabilities.
Tatiana Mullaney, branch deputy program manager of Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute Contract, Acquisition Excellence & Program Execution Directorate, received the Outstanding Services Acquisition Manager.
Mullaney led a seven-member multifunctional team to review and process 339 funding and new start documents, supporting 200 federally funded research and development center projects and 150 customers across 34 federal agencies.
Capt. John Munro, Electronic Systems Directorate, was selected as the Outstanding Systems Acquisition Management Staff Officer award for his role as the directorate’s chief innovation officer.
As chairman of the Hanscom AFB Innovation Team, Munro directed innovation strategies and events for more than 7,500 personnel, streamlining a $33 billion portfolio of programs and delivering 16 key technologies.
This was the 11th annual LCMC Acquisition Management awards ceremony.
