First sergeants, commissary team up to provide Thanksgiving meals

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --  First sergeants and the Commissary at Hill Air Force Base have once again teamed up to provide a happy Thanksgiving to those who may need a little extra help this year.

The Commissary and first sergeants worked closely together through Operation Warm Heart, a non-profit organization created to raise money and provide relief for Airmen and Guardians, and their families throughout the year.

The two entities planned, organized, and distributed all the fixings for tasty Thanksgiving meals to families in need.

Planning began weeks ago, along with assembling food items that were purchased and donated by store customers.

The complete meals were then assembled into individual bags by the store’s staff and distributed to units throughout the base by the first sergeants.
