Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Sensors division finance chief and team win awards

Lisa Carrico is Finance Chief for the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Sensors Division, part of the Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces (ISR/SOF) Directorate. Recently, she was named AFLCMC Chief Financial Officer of the Year for 2021 and is now competing for the SAF/FM Robert D. Stuart Award for Excellence.

Carrico started her civil service career in 1989 as a co-op student and became a full-time budget analyst after graduation. Since that time, she has served in a variety of leadership roles, including financial chief for several different divisions.  

In 2020, Lisa Carrico won the Annual Excellence Award with the ISR/SOF Directorate. She was also named Comptroller Awards Mentor of the Year for 2008.  

Several members of the ISR/SOF finance team have also won awards this year. Carrico is proud to manage a high-performing team, saying “They are always in pursuit of making things better than how they found them.”    

Evidence of their high performance can be found in these accomplishments:  her Cost team delivered 100 cost estimates during the last 15 months. The FMS team automated their resource allocation tool, reducing data entry errors by 85%. The finance team expertly allocated Air Force resources to attack highest priority requirements, successfully garnering more than $11 million into the portfolio supporting Air Combat Command’s sensor program.
