Team Hill Frontlines: Tech. Sgt. Kannon Thompson

Editor's Note: The “Team Hill Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

Tech. Sgt. Kannon Thompson is a training manager in the Hill Command Post. His job is to ensure operations and communications run efficiently and effectively and to ensure the level of preparedness and training for the command post maintains the highest level of efficiency as possible. He is from Clearfield, Utah, and his hobbies include cheering for the Jazz, DIY projects and spending time with family.

Sergeant Thompson’s experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines:

"I am developing weekly virtual exercise training for controllers to accomplish during telework periods to reduce personnel traffic within the command post. I oversee information flow between five MAJCOMS and commanders represented on Hill AFB to ensure that all command post shifts operate in similar fashion to prevent any miscommunication to base leadership. I also submit and track information to and from HAFB regarding to COVID-19 directives and guidance.”
