Britton to lead Presidential & Executive Airlift Directorate

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio – Brig. Gen. Ryan Britton will become the Program Executive Officer for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Presidential & Executive Airlift Directorate headquartered here.

Britton is currently the director of Global Reach Programs for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition at the Pentagon and in his new position will be responsible for the planning and execution of all life cycle activities of the VC-25A fleet, more commonly known as Air Force One, the VC-25B, and a host of executive and special mission aircraft including the C-12, C-21, C-32, C-37, C-40 and E-4B.

Britton entered the Air Force in 1991 after graduating from the University of Memphis, in Memphis, Tenn., as an ROTC graduate with a degree in electrical engineering.

He has served in numerous leadership positions throughout his career including deputy director for acquisition, for the Missile Defense Agency.

Britton will replace Maj. Gen. Duke Richardson who is leaving to take the position of military deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition, Technology and Logistics) at the Pentagon.
