Rogers, Program Executive Officer and Director of the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Special Operations Forces Directorate, has been nominated by the President of the United States for promotion to brigadier general. The nomination must be confirmed by a vote in the U.S. Senate in order for the promotion to be approved. “It is a great honor to be nominated,” Rogers said. “I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving in our great Air Force and am thankful to all those that helped get me to this point in my career!” Rogers became PEO for ISR/SOF in Jan. 2020. In this position, he is responsible for more than 2,600 personnel nationwide and acquisition execution of a $22 billion portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms and related sub-systems. A 1997 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, he has experience on a number of significant acquisition programs including Global Position System, Upgraded Early Warning Radar, Air and Space Operations Center Weapon System, F-35 Lightning II, JSTARS Recapitalization and the KC-46.
