BES holds Collegiate Information Technology Pitch Day

The Business Enterprises Systems Directorate hosted an inaugural Collegiate Information Technology Pitch Day Oct. 1-2, 2019 at Alabama State University's Continuing Education building, Montgomery, Alabama.

The event welcomed esteemed colleges and universities from across the country, including Cornell University, Texas A & M University, Alabama State University, University of Alabama, University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the University of South Alabama to Montgomery. 

The universities were invited to showcase their information technology expertise and insights with members of BES’s Senior Leadership team, including Tanya Lambert, deputy director of operations, Toy Robinson, director of engineering, John Hulsey, chief technology officer and  David Sampson, the deputy director of Service Management. 

The event was organized by Artis Clayton, Plans and Programs Division chief, Angela Peterson-Washington, contract specialist and Alexia “Paige” Zukowski, also a contract specialist. 

The Air Force Personnel Center at Randolph AFB also supported this event through Career Field Administrator Gaylisa Monroe, who informed the colleges about the available opportunities to current and graduate college students.  

Many who attended the event expressed excitement about the future relationships and opportunities which the Pitch Day fostered. The next Collegiate Information Technology Pitch Day will be held and hosted by BES in the near future.
