FSRM funding

Staff Sgt. Courtney Kohnke, 673rd Civil Engineer Squadron construction inspector, performs a post-earthquake inspection on a facility at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, in January 2019. Before the Air Force Civil Engineer Center began managing facility sustainment, restoration and modernization requirements across the Air Force enterprise in 2014, major commands were only given fair-share funding, which meant critical repairs identified by Kohnke may have gone unfunded. With the Air Force Comprehensive Asset Management Plan, all FSRM requirements across the Air Force are racked and stacked based on risks to Airmen and missions, with consideration also given to cost saving investments.
