WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio (AFLCMC) – Col. Jason E. Lindsey became the new Program Executive Officer and Director of the Presidential and Executive Airlift Directorate, assuming leadership from Brig. Gen. Ryan Britton in a ceremony May 27 in the Air Force Institute of Technology’s Kenney Hall.

Lindsey has been selected for promotion to Brigadier General.

Lt. Gen. Duke Z. Richardson, Military Deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics presided over the Change of Leadership.  He spoke about the many pressures unique to those serving as Program Executive Officers, and described the Presidential and Executive Airlift portfolio as a small fleet of approximately 100 highly visible aircraft with several very prominent customers.

“There is no lack of interest in this portfolio,” said Richardson, who previously served as the first PEO for the Presidential and Executive Airlift portfolio.

As PEO, Col Lindsey will serve as the single responsible leader for all acquisition, product support, and technology efforts in the Presidential and Executive Airlift portfolio, according to the charter signed by Darlene Costello, acting Assistant Secretary of the Air Force Acquisition, Technology & Logistics.  Prior to this assignment, Lindsey was Senior Materiel Leader for the KC-46 Pegasus.

“We, as a nation, are richly blessed and I earnestly believe that to whom much is given, much is required.” Lindsey said.  “That is the reason I serve, to pass those blessings of peace and security to the next generation of Americans.”

Brig. Gen. Britton will retire on July 31 after 30 years of service.
