Tinker Frontlines: Meet Diann Riter

Diann Riter is the Installation Emergency Manager at the Emergency Operations Center and has served in this position for over seven years.

Riter, originally from Scotch Plains, New Jersey, has spent 16 years in civil service and is an Air Force retiree.

In her free time, Riter enjoys knitting, fishing, travelling and playing with her cats, Alice Cooper and Ted Nugent.

Some of her main duties include managing the installation's emergency management program and process clearances for contractors as the 72nd Civil Engineering Directorate’s security manager.

Riter says the best parts of her job are the people she works with and having a full shop to accomplish the mission. She says her co-workers are enthusiastic about their jobs and adapt well to change, which has benefited them during the coronavirus pandemic.
